Melksham Oak Community

Our client wanted to refurbish their sixth form study and common room areas, to create vibrant and contemporary environments that balanced dedicated quiet study and time. The spaces needed to be comfortable and modern, standing out from the rest of the school as more ‘grown up’ areas. A mixture of contemporary seating options and low tables were used in the common room to combine style and comfort with the practicality of large groups wanting to sit together and socialise. Chairs and high tables also provide another, more formal option for small groups. In the study room, a mixture of collaborative furniture, high tables and chairs and study booths (shown overleaf) provide a balance between those wanting to work collaboratively and students needing space for individual study.
